Crowdsourced On-demand Delivery for Urban Africa

MAX is a hyper-local on-demand delivery platform for businesses and consumers in Urban Africa. MAX operates a network of Delivery Champions that pick up and deliver packages within cities. MAX leverages Dispatch Algorithms, Mobile Apps, Point-to-Point fulfillment model, Crowdsourced Geo-tags and a network of trained Dispatch Riders to fulfill delivery requests in real-time. MAX solves Africa’s last-mile challenge by motivating Delivery Drivers with performance-based incentives and using mobile technology to enable fast and secure deliveries. The MAX technology platform includes a Consumer App, a Driver App, a fully functional web portal and an admin console.

Adetayo Bamiduro

Adetayo drives customer acquisition and growth and leads the management team at MAX. Adetayo earned his MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds dual fellowships from the MIT Legatum Center for Entrepreneurship and the MasterCard Foundation. He is also an Associate of the prestigious Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance. Earlier in his career, he built one of Nigeria’s first Mobile Asset Tracking Platforms. He then built a career in Product Management, Technology Strategy, e-Commerce and Management Consulting. Adetayo consistently delivered high impact products and platforms at both Fortune 500 corporations and startups across 4 continents, including a Production Optimization Platform that generated $100m in revenue within its first year of launch. Adetayo pioneered the logistics division of one of Africa’s leading online e-Commerce marketplaces before founding MAX.

Philip AbelPhilip is an MIT Computer Science senior. He has experience building software applications for organizations such as Akamai Technologies, Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies and Kresge Technologies. He manages MAX’s back-end technology and integrates verification and security protocols into the MAX Platform.

Adeyemi AdepetuAdeyemi manages Systems Architecture and Operations Design at MAX. Adeyemi has 4 patents to his name plus six years of experience working as a senior systems engineer at United Technologies. Adeyemi oversees the end-to-end delivery process and ensures MAX’s Delivery Champions are empowered to consistently deliver a “wow” experience to customers. Adeyemi is an MIT Legatum fellow, a MasterCard Foundation Fellow and a graduate of Systems Design and Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Adeyemi has expertise in technology strategy, systems engineering and product design. Adeyemi doubles as a front-end developer and works with Chinedu Azodoh on the Product Development.

Chinedu AzodohChinedu manages Product development and Finance at MAX. Chinedu develops MAX’s financing and pricing models and validates MAX’s key business model assumptions. He leads the engineering team and takes ownership of the MAX Technology Stack. He holds a BSc in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Illinois Tech. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Chinedu has experience leading software development teams at Fortune 50 corporations. He worked as an analyst and developer at Barclays and Goldman Sachs and gained sold experience in Finance and Competitive Market Analysis.

George is an MIT Computer Science junior with software development experience in MIT’s Affective Computing Group. George is also an Explorer Intern at Microsoft. He is developing MAX’s consumer facing applications and has built a working Web Application. He leads front-end and user interface/user experience design and works on the web server as well.
